Paul Hawken is an environmentalist, educator, lecturer, entrepreneur, journalist, and best-selling author. Known around the world as one of the leading architects and proponents of corporate reform with respect to ecological practices, his work has caused CEOs to transform their internal corporate culture and business philosophy toward environmental restoration.

In addition to heading the Natural Capital Institute (NCI), a research group located in California, Paul is a founder of WISE (World Index for Social and Environmental Responsibility), and WiserEarth - an online community directory and networking forum for 1.5 million-plus groups around the world that are working on environmental and social justice issues.

Paul Hawken has got his finger on the pulse of what he calls the largest movement in history, a movement of movements. He has discovered that there are literally over a million groups around the world that have a shared set of values, all working to make the world a better place.
